The AI companion that gets you unstuck and keeps you there
Taski turns “I need to do this” into one tiny next step — then stays alongside you like a body-double until it’s done. Built specifically for ADHD brains. No shame. No overwhelm. No streaks.

Sound familiar?
ADHD isn't a motivation problem. It's a getting-started problem. And it's much bigger than just “can't focus”.
"I can't start"
Staring at the task, knowing you need to do it, but your brain just won’t engage. Two hours gone. Nothing done.
"It's too big"
One task spirals into ten sub-tasks and suddenly the whole thing is paralysis. The plan is longer than the work.
"I lost the thread"
One distraction and the whole context evaporates. Starting over from scratch feels more impossible than the original task.
The shame spiral
You’re not lazy. But shame makes starting even harder — and most productivity apps pile on more guilt without realising it.
Planning feels like work
Setting up productivity systems requires more executive function than the task itself. The tool becomes the obstacle.
"I'll do it after this"
The delay loop. One more scroll, one more episode, one more reason — and the task is still there, heavier than before.
Time blindness
"It's been 3 hours? I thought it was 20 minutes." ADHD time blindness isn’t a bad habit — it’s neurological. Deadlines feel unreal until they’re on top of you.
Fear before you even start
Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) means the terror of doing something wrong can stop you before you’ve typed a single word. It’s avoidance disguised as perfectionism.
The hyperfocus crash
Six hours deep, forgot to eat, brain completely fried. Hyperfocus burns output — then burns you out. The crash makes the next day worse.
How Taski works
From “I can’t start” to “I’m doing it” in under 2 minutes. Here’s exactly what happens.
Say what’s on your mind
Just type it. “I need to prepare slides.” “I’m avoiding my inbox.” “I have 20 things and I can’t move.” No formatting, no setup, no fields to fill.
- Taski understands fragments and half-sentences
- Detects tasks, emotional blockers, and overwhelm automatically
- Thought Dump mode if everything needs to come out at once
Get exactly one next step
Not a project plan. Not a checklist. Just the smallest possible move forward — usually under 5 minutes. If it still feels too big, ‘Make it smaller’ is always one tap away.
- Default steps: 2–5 minutes of effort
- ‘Make it smaller’ → 30 seconds to 2 minutes
- ‘Make it smaller’ again → the physical minimum
Taski stays alongside you
Body double mode starts a timed session with structured check-ins. Check in at 5 min. Halfway. 2 min before the end. Optional ambient sound. Zero judgment when life interrupts.
- Sessions: 10, 15, 25, or 45 min — you pick or Taski suggests
- “Still on it” / “Got distracted” / “Need a smaller step” — always your call
- Resumption is the feature: every re-open feels like a warm welcome back
ADHD intelligence kicks in automatically
Taski watches for the things ADHD brains hit most. If a session runs long, a soft banner appears before you crash. If your words signal RSD fear, Taski acknowledges it before suggesting anything.
- Hyperfocus Safety Net: soft banner at 90 min (configurable)
- RSD Shield: detects fear-of-failure language, responds with warmth
- Time Blindness Anchor: elapsed-time framing, never countdown pressure
Gets smarter every session
Taski builds memory of your patterns: your productive hours, common blockers, effective step sizes, emotional tendencies. Personalisation happens silently in the background — no configuration needed.
- Memory is yours: viewable, editable, deletable in Settings
- Never shared, never used for advertising
- The more you use it, the less effort it takes to get started
The "Make it smaller" loop
Tasks feel overwhelming because we try to hold the whole thing in our heads. Taski breaks the loop by finding the one step you can actually do right now — even if that step is just opening a file.
- No judgment when you say you're stuck
- "Make it smaller" is always one tap away
- Body double mode to keep you company
Built for ADHD brains \u2014 not adapted for them
Every feature was designed around a specific ADHD struggle. Not productivity theory \u2014 the actual neurological reality of how ADHD brains get stuck, and what it takes to get unstuck.
Micro-Step Planner
Taski proposes exactly one thing to do right now — sized for a 2–5 minute attempt. No project plan, no decision fatigue. Accept it, tap "Make it smaller", or defer. The button is always visible and always available. It’s designed to feel like a superpower, not an admission of failure.
AI Body Doubling
Body doubling is a science-backed ADHD strategy: working near someone else dramatically reduces avoidance. Taski checks in at 5 min, halfway, and 2 min before the end. Sessions run 10, 15, 25, or 45 minutes. Optional ambient sound — rain, café, brown noise — keeps you company without adding distraction.
ADHD-Specific Intelligence
Thought Dump Mode
20 tabs open in your brain? Say ‘Let me brain dump’ and type everything — fragments, half-sentences, anything. Taski listens without interrupting, then sorts and surfaces the one item to start with. No questions during the dump. Sorting happens after.
RSD Shield
Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria makes starting feel terrifying when something matters. Taski detects RSD language ("what if it’s not good enough", "I keep doing this wrong") and responds by naming the fear, shrinking the stakes, and offering a step with literally no wrong answer.
Hyperfocus Safety Net
ADHD hyperfocus is powerful — until it burns you out. After your preset threshold (default 90 min), Taski surfaces a soft banner — never a modal, never a sound — asking if you want a 10-minute break. Snooze for 5 more minutes, or dismiss. Taski learns your preference over time.
Time Blindness Anchor
ADHD time blindness is neurological. Taski shows elapsed session time as a soft screen-edge gradient (not a countdown). Deadlines use proximity: "Your call is about 35 minutes away" instead of "3:00 PM". Nudges say "since Tuesday" — not "overdue".
Smart, Personal & Always Learning
Smart Nudges
Non-shaming, action-oriented, contextual. "Want to do the 2-minute version right now?" — never "you haven’t done X". Max 2/day by default, with configurable quiet hours. Nudges are aware of your energy, time of day, and current task state.
Persistent Memory
Taski builds a growing model of you — your blockers, productive hours, effective step sizes per domain. Memory is yours: viewable in Settings → My Memory, editable line-by-line, and deletable instantly. Never shared or used for advertising.
Tone System
Choose your AI personality in onboarding. "Okay chaos gremlin, let’s wrangle this into something tiny" (Funny). Or "Take your time. Let’s find the smallest first step." (Calm). Change any time in Settings or say "be more direct" in chat.
Energy-Match Surfacing
Taski reads your current energy — time of day, self-reported mood, session behavior — and surfaces the one task that fits. Low-energy morning? Small and familiar. High-focus afternoon? Deep work. The decision is removed entirely on hard days.
Blocker Diagnosis
When a task is deferred 3+ times with no progress, Taski runs a 2-minute diagnostic to surface the real obstacle: fear of failure, unclear scope, missing info, or emotional association. Ends with restructuring, a prerequisite task — or "abandon with dignity".
Transition Warnings
15 minutes before a meeting or deadline, Taski nudges you to wind down and creates a Parking Note — a 30-second capture of where you are, next action, and one thing to remember. Automatically surfaced when you reopen the task.
Questions you probably have
If something's still unclear, just ask.
Your brain isn't broken.
It just needs a different kind of help.
Taski meets you where you are—stuck, overwhelmed, or just avoiding. One next step, every time, no judgment.
